EGR "J-Pipe" Gasket
We've all probably heard the tell tale sign of a leak at the EGR flange where it meets the manifold. "Tick, tick, tick..." Just about every later model fj40 and almost all fj60's will develop the leak sooner or later. The problem is that the thin factory flange will warp slightly from the heat and the gasket can no longer seal. Throw on another OEM gasket and the problem will usually reoccur shortly. The solution? A thicker gasket. Our EGR gasket have the same properties as all of our manifold gaskets. Specifically, they are 1/8" thick and crush to half of there size, therefore sealing any irregularities in flange flatness up to 1/16". The typical "warped" EGR flange is well within these parameters and will almost always seal with a new remflex gasket alone. If your flange is warped severely, consider a new J Pipe from Toyota or another vendor and the Remflex gasket for years of reliability.
