One of my oldest memories is driving down highway 395 in California and Nevada and asking my dad "could a Land Cruiser make it up that road, dad?" His answer was always "Of course it can David, a Land Cruiser will take you wherever you want to go." After years of dreaming about where a cruiser could take me, I bought my first cruiser when I was 18, a 1970 fj40. I flew down to San Diego and drove it back up to Santa Cruz where I was living. It was slow, loud, and wet, but I made it back with a huge grin on my face. I have since sold the 40, and now own a 1984 JDM High Roof Hj60, my taste may have changed some, but I will never forget my first trip in a Land Cruiser. -David
